Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors® have successfully completed a comprehensive curriculum, developed by Intuit® to teach best practices in QuickBooks setup, payroll, reporting, and other day-to-day QuickBooks functions. Many of these ProAdvisors are also CPAs, accountants, bookkeepers, computer consultants and trainers

The QuickBooks Pro-Advisor certification course consists of three sections:

  • Setting up Clients
  • Essentials for the Accountant
  • Recording Transactions

Each section is divided into six to eight modules, and each module contains a range of five to eleven topical lessons. Certification professionals take these sections sequentially, and they do NOT have the option of testing out of any of the sections. To receive certification and become a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, these professionals must complete the online testing after each section and receive a score of 85% or better.

The material in the certification course is designed to provide the professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to be a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and referred by Intuit. By the end of the course, these professionals are able to:

  • Determine whether or not QuickBooks is the right solution for a client
  • Set up the appropriate items for a client’s business
  • Restrict access to areas of QuickBooks
